Customise your new inner city skyhome. One Newstead Developer offers “Create Your Own” resizing of internal spaces within new apartments working from master palettes of finishings and fittings.

One of the challenges buyers encounter in today’s property market is finding an apartment that suits all their needs. In response, Dibcorp Pty Ltd, developers in the high-end market of Newstead are offering buyers the opportunity to work with architects and designers to modify elements for their new apartment. From simple tweaks such as changing the colour scheme, tiles and appliances to creating an entirely new apartment layout by moving internal walls, changing room positions, and even combining multiple apartments together.

The flexibility to truly customise an off-the-plan apartment gives the buyers the chance to have a unique home that reflects their needs and lifestyle. “Customising apartments is becoming more of a trend at the luxury apartments market, with buyers looking for a home with their personal imprint. The selected material palettes of marble, timber, stone and glass are blended to complement any interior design preferences as ostentatious or as subtle as you wish”, says Franco Di Bartolomeo, Managing Director of Dibcorp.

“Being both the developer and builder, we’ve found that this approach is a deal-maker for buyers, specifically for owner-occupiers, who look for a white canvas to transform into a custom-made skyhome.

Dibcorp’s latest project, Dwell Newstead, offers customisable apartment options in layouts up to 600m2. “During the process of designing their new home, buyers will have constant support from the head of our unique variations team, who will assist with customisation and streamline the process.”

The diversity and extensive flexibility of this offering meant a recent buyer was able to purchase two apartments on consecutive levels and joining them together via internal staircase. This unique ability offers two major benefits for homeowners. Firstly, it allows the buyer to design a fully personalised residence to suits their immediate needs. Secondly, since the new skyhome is absolutely unique it represents a sound marketing advantage if and when the owner decides to sell, maximising potential capital growth.

“Dwell’s unique “Create your own” feature has attracted discerning owner occupiers, downsizers, and young couples who couldn’t find this level of customization in any other project in the area. The fact that our designers, architects and engineers will work with them in every step of the process is quite unique”, explained Di Bartolomeo.

Dwell Newstead comprises of two towers rising 14 floors, with the 3, 4 & 5 bedroom Skyhomes on levels 9 to 13. Construction commenced in early 2018, and completion is expected to be in November 2019.

In terms of location, “Newstead is the prime lifestyle suburb in Brisbane. Over the past few years, a growing number of craft beer breweries, innovative music venues, boutique retailers, cosmopolitan cafés, and the award-winning Gasworks Plaza have moved in. Easy access to both the river and the city makes this neighbourhood a truly exciting place to live”, says Di Bartolomeo.

To add into the Newstead lifestyle, Dwell will incorporate a sophisticated laneway on the ground floor accessible for locals and visitors alike. The laneway will be home to a curated collection of wine bars, cafes & boutiques breathing new life into the precinct.

With a focus on lifestyle, Dwell’s podium called “The Green” offers residents a private sanctuary on level three, featuring a yoga retreat, an entertainers deck, and a residents chill out zone or a quiet reading nook. Each of the three distinct spaces features a handful of intimate hideaways, comfortable daybeds, and green areas with WIFI connectivity and bubbling water features.

Skyhomes & Penthouses are now selling from $925,000 (approximately $6800/sqm). Dwell Newstead’s sales display centre is located at Enclave Property Group office, shop 3, 48 Skyring Terrace, Newstead.
